Ok guys here is my problem. I currently own a 95 z m6 and an 01 ss auto. Some people are tellin me to keep the 01 fairly stock and go radical with the 95, but then on the other hand I believe the 01 is a better starting point with the LS1 Id hate to take the reliability out of the 01. I just dont know which one really mod heavy.. I figured everone on here would be able to give me some good advice. thanks for all the help

Tough decision. The LS1, of course, gives you a better base HP level to start with. How far do you plan on taking this? Just a few bolt ons or are you shooting for the stars? Supercharger, stroke, etc?

 

i would say, mod the LT1. there are tons of aftermarket parts and they tend to be a little cheaper IMO!

 

Ditto. Plus you'd still have your 2001 which you could drive everyday without any headaches.

 

mod them both.you can get mods and still keep them streetable and make great power.i run solid 12s and my car sounds and idles and drives like it stock.

 

Such as? what "other" parts does the lt1 have that the ls1 doesnt?

you need MORE parts to make the lt1 make the same power so i guess that price per part thing doesnt work
