Wont the SES light come on if teh egr is disconnected? I live where i HAVE to have emissions done and i would like to do an LS6 conversion ie, manifold, heads, cam. Is this swap smog legal? I am sure it prob isnt but since 2000+ f-bods dont have an egr i dont see how hard it would be. Would i have to get a predator and try to fix/tune the ses light?

yes the SES light will come on when you swap ur intake. Anybody know if you can drive with the light on, or is it bad for the car?

SES light just says that there is something not normal with your car. It doesnt mean dont drive it, well, most of the time. LS1 Edit should take care of any SES lights.

The SES light will be okay on for a short time, however over time your emissions will go to **** as the pcm tries to compensate. It ruined the tuning I had by letting the SES light run.

As far as installing the intake, it is really straight forward.

Yeah my air pump went and now the back of the car smells jungle. My SES light has been on since i got the car 3 months ago. But what about when i have to go to the sniffer with the ls6 manifold? Wont there be a trouble code triggered or cant they see that a certain censor has been disabled? I am really new to efi cars and ecms. My last car was all iron and carb. So dealing with this stuff is kinda off base. Like i know the predator costs like 400 from people posting but couldnt i just go to my mechanic and be like please edit this out please? Or will i still have to buy the predator and what not. I dont have a labtop i have a PC so that is another thing i have to deal with.

I beleive you can put some grease on the coolant lines under your old intake, and drop the new LS6 intake ontop of the lines for a mark up and then use a dremel or grinding tool to make way for the coolant line under the intake. I thought I read that somewhere ,
