I thought we were all interested in camaros??
Or are some people tired of it because they don't have it (ls6).
sound like a maturity issue too me. Get over it and read a different thread or better yet sell you SS and go buy a stang I now they don't want to hear about it on there site!!!

And for those of us that care heres some info on the LS6 Blk vs LS1 blk.
LS6 casting number on my car is 12561168
LS1 casting number for the LS1 blk is 21050006

Oh almost forgot direct quote from Camaro Magazine

"Improved bay to bay breathing"
The aluminum block castings deletes the machined holes in the ls1 block bulkhead and adds honed "overtravel" windows, which allow better bay to bay breathing. On the downstroke, pistons push air back toward the crankcase, creating back pressure, ,or resistance, that slows downward movement and robs power.
The ls6 block reduces this internal "windage" by managing airflow more efficiently. the overtravel windows allow air to move more freely between cylinder bays, reducing backpressure and freeing the pistons downward movement.

Do you need a picture???????

top of page 5 I mention that...
I seem to make more stock HP than some other LS1block cars... so I think it does help marginally.. not alot.. but then again.. my car seems to be a tuesday wednesday car...

Geez ... I'm not going to even try to go through and read all these posts.

At the 2003 Bowling Green event, I was talking to Scott Settlemire and I asked him about this . Scott told me that ALL 2001 / 2002 F-Bods got the LS6 block, even though the color is a little different or some may have the bullseye.
