hi i have an ls3 A6 in a VE maloo ute
i would like to up grade it to 454 ci 1/ using as meney of the ls3 parts as posable
2/ a compleat 454 crate that will just drop in and hock up to my E38 ECM and sensors an A6
some advise on these options thanks

You can't make an LS3 into a 454. There's no enough material there to bore due to the factory aluminum block being 4.060" with a max bore of 4.070" or so unless you sleeve it --- which is a bad idea unless you're building a racemotor.
The biggest you can go is pretty much 427, but that's using a 4.100" crank, which will probably be counter-productive since it will make the engine undersquare.
A 418 is about as big as you'd want to go with a LS3.

You can achieve 500RWHP with those motors N/A stock displacement. I'd do that and spray the **** out of it.
Then when it blows pick you up a 418.
D1SC would work nicely on it as well.
Only block i'm aware of that you can do a 454ci is a LSX block, and I believe even it is not recommended for any power adders. I'd have to do some digging to check that out for sure...
