LS1Tech vs. LT1Tech~ LT1 owners more loyal?
LS1Tech vs. LT1Tech~ LT1 owners more loyal?
As a newcomer to this forum I was amazed that the LT1Tech forum has 5 times as many posts as the LS1Tech forum yet both engines have been in production for four years. Why is this? Could it be that the LS1 is that much more reliable (I doubt it) or is it that LT1 owners are just more loyal and excited about their powerplants? Or could it be that there were that many more LT1's produced and hence have so many more owners to post threads? I don't know.
Finally, can one of you long time members tell me how long this forum has been in existence? This is definitely the best camaro bulletin board I've found! Regards, Dan

Sees a Camaro drivin down a street, its another LT-1. Another one. Man has it been a while since I saw another LS-1 on the street.
Am I the only one left around here. Oh God no its happened, GM has seized production on a low # production car.
You answered your own question, there are so many more LT-1s and so few LS-1s. Im the only person at my school with an LS1, there are quite a few LT1s but no other LS1.

Having owned my LS1 for about 8 months, and coming from an LT1 that I had owned for 2.5 years, I'd say LT1 owners are quicker to lend a hand to fellow LT1 owners on the internet than LS1 owners are to other LS1 owners.
My $.02 from experience.

In actuality ... it's because there are two other websites dedicated to just the LS1 ... www.ls1.com and www.ls1tech.com
LS1Tech .... has more post in it's techincal area than CZ28 does in in LS1 and LT1 tech combined ... and the site is only year old.
Among a lot of LS1 internet crowd CZ28 is considered an LT1/3rd gen site and an entry level LS1 site.

I kinda agree with BM.
But I think it starts with the fact that there are a lot more LT1 owners out there (especially on cz28.com) than LS1 owners. Probably about 60-70% of the active members here own an LT1 and only 20-30% own an LS1. <--- That's just a guess but I don't think it's too far off.
Oh, and I also agree with the above comment. When I had my '96, this was the only F-Body site I went to (besides my local club site). Now, there are three that I frequent.

I'm not quite sure, but I believe ls1.com has just as many members on this board as this one does. And only a few at ls1.com are corvette owners, so as stated above, most ls1ers go to ls1.com or ls1tech.com, although I do like this board better.
