Check our vendor index at the top of the page. Many of them do engines.

We have many short block and long block packages to choose from. Are you looking to stay aluminum or go iron block?

A stock motor with heads/cam will get you there and further.

SLP has an LS2 402ci aluminum shortblock for under $4000 and an iron 402 LQ9 for around $3600.

Do you want 400 or 500? There is a big difference in street manners between a 400 and a 500 hp engine.

I would like to keep it more street friendly but it will not be a daily driver for the most part.. weekends etc... i guess closer to 450 to the wheels would be better.

Pay attention to the cam that you choose to put in the motor. That can help some as far as street manners.

Also, if you know exactly what you want as far as heads, and would like to further customise the performance of the motor... I'd say short block.

Some vendors have a good selection of long blocks. THey can design or might have one avaliable that fits your preferances.
