LS1 to LS6 swap????

hey gang,
i was talkin to a few local guys and i may have an interesting project. a local guy has a 99 Z28 6spd with a terribly blown motor(read as rod meets block). i also know where i can get a reasonably low mileage LS6 from a wrecked vette with a 6-spd.
i was wondering if teh wiring harness is the same for both motors or if i will have soem rewqiring to do? coudl i just swap the pcm straight out of teh vette and plug it into the camaro wiring harness?
i have also read taht the LS1 cluthc is weaker than the LS6 clutch, is this a worthwhiel upgradeto make since i will ahve the motor out fo the way for the swap anyhow?

thanks guys,
tim

The easist way is to keep the Camaro PCM and the Camaro MAF and TB.

I know a guy that did it here in AZ, he spent over 8K by the time it was done but that was with a brand new LS6 motor. He upgraded the clutch. The stock harness worked I believe but they reprogrammed the computer. He now has a mean machine!
