Post LS1 hp change from 1998 to 2002?

Someone told me the hp changed like in 2000. Is this correct? If so how much and what changed?

I tried to do a search and didn't find anything.

I believe it was 2001 that the factory
claimed 5 extra ponies on the Z28.This
was do mainly to GM using the LS6 intake
on the LS1.Most people believe the increase
is a little more ,maybe 15 extra.Other
people know more than I on this matter.

from 1998 to 2000 the LS1 stayed basically the same, but in 2001 GM put on the LS6 intake and changed the cam of the LS1, this is also the case for the 2002, but in 02 they also addes the Z06 style MAF(I think I could be wrong on that). The EGR was also removed in either 01 or 02. The 2001 and 2002 usually dyno at about 15hp more than prior years.

The LS6 intake and cam were put into the LS1, egr was moved to run off the cam, as it does in the corvette. So pretty much now, you have the same engine as the corvette and tranny as the corvette. Clutch off the Z06 was also put in, there are also some minor things, but usualy the 2001's and 2002's dyno more. The true output of the LS1 stock is around the corvette numbers 340-350 fly wheel (just an estimate). Very underrated

the cam in the 01- 02 LS1 is actually a smaller, torquier cam than previous years. But the LS6 intake gives back that bit of lost peak hp, and then some.

It is an ls6 intake...but the cam is not an LS6 cam,its the cam out of the 5.3l truck engine...and it is smaller then the 98,99 cam.....and the egr is not cam driven, its not even on the new ls1,oh yea....the vette has a trans-axle so you don't have a vette trany...but you do have the ls6 H/D clutch..
