LS1 A4 shift hard?

Does the LS1 A4 shift hard? My V6 camaro never shifted nearly as hard as my SS and I read in the V6 forum that our trannies form to how we drive. Is it just shifting hard because of the way it is driven or do all LS1s shift really firm?

I think from '98 all the way up to '00 the computer adjusts shift firmness depending on how much throttle is being used.I am not 100% certain of this but I think it's what I was told when I asked this same question a while ago.

Yea it is true, but only to a certain extent. My A4 shifts different depending on what I am doing as far as firmness...She shifts @5,900rpm at WOT...I havent even used a Hypertech or LS1 Edit on it....
