With that mileage, I would only rebuild it if I planned on pushing the boundaries with a heads/cam package or some sort of forced induction. Otherwise, I would drive it till it dies.

When it dies. If it runs fine, no blown head gasket etc, why waste the money. Every day you drive it you save money and my lt1 has close to 170k. These cars can last if you change the oil in them lol.

It's 99 Firehawk in great shape but the miles are high. I just don't know If it has been taken care of oil change ect... How long can the LS1 last? I know there are a lot ifs but just guesstimating.

I'd pay $6000-7000 or walk away.

At 145k, it's on borrowed time, since it's in a high performance car and has been beat-on. A rebuild is in your future, even more near if you plan on modifying the motor in any way.

Just curious, how long do you think my LS1 can last given these conditions?

I just Daily Drive it between 100 and 200 miles daily

See's WOT maybe once every 3 months, never does burnouts, donuts or anything of that nature...

Rarely ever see's anything over 3K RPMS (because I never need more power than that.)

Typically uses Shell V-Power Gasoline, Seafoamed at 70K, run fuel injector cleaner once every blue moon...

I've been using Mobil 1 and changing it every 3K miles until I've recently found out it can be ran way longer than that... Going to 10K mile oil change intervals...

Has 80K miles on it which is twice as much as when I purchased it October of last year,,, (Had 40K then)

Probably close to 200k or more if you continue driving it like that and maintaining it properly.

probably a good estimate...

but in all reality...there is NO possible way to make an estimate like that with any real accuracy.

all it takes is one missed shift at high rpm and you could trash the whole damn thing.

What is "seafoamed"? Is that some kind of engine cleaning service?

It's a liquid internal engine cleaner that helps remove deposits built up over time of engines running. You use some in your gas tank to clean the fuel system, some in the oil to clean the crankcase and oil side internals, and some injested thru the vacuum system while the motor is running to clean the combustion chambers.
I've seen big write ups on the net as to how to use it and then laughed when I bought some and all of the instructions are right there on the can.
