That is a BS statement from somebody that doesn't know what they are talking about. My H/C/100shot LS1 made 576rwhp/590rwtq for years before pushing a head-gasket. When torn down, it looked perfect. I know a guy who's been spraying a 200shot on a bolt-on LS1 for a couple of years with no issues.
If you set everything up correctly, get it tuned and don't get greedy, your LS1 will love the sauce!

Yeah well I got rid of my 1969 396 SS Camaro.I wanted something a little less profile. Also it would be nice to drive a car that gets better then 20MPG and does not live its life sitting in my garage.Im just trying to learn about these car's and how they handle.I do know if I get an LS1 Camaro it will be with the 6 speed manual.Im looking for a wicked fast street car that may need Mods and is in good shape. The other car I was thinking about was a Fox body 5.0 mustang that I would be Turbocharged at some point. They handle pretty terrible though and Im not really a bif Ford fan.Plus I already have a Turbo car.

Well, I can relate with you as I've owned a 1986 Grand National, 1989 and 1992 5.0 Mustangs, 2000 Z28 and now a 2004 Z16. I can say without any hesitation that the LS1 F-body is the best bang-for-buck for a fast street car. 400rwhp is a joke with the LS1 along with great gas mileage and reliability. A mild heads/cam/nitrous LS1 can make 525+rwhp and remain a docile grocery-getter with A/C, good handling and braking.
There are plenty of online message boards including this one that can provide a wealth of LS1 info...

Yeah I don't need 600 plus horsepower for basically an all street driven car.I don't even miss my 69 Camaro.Im just hoping I can find a nice stock LS1 car in good condition.I love the instant power of nitrous also. The other major thing is that the car looks docile.I got tired of all the attention I got whenever I took out my Rat motored 69 Camaro. It was no longer fun for me to keep that car even though I loved the body style.Oh yeah 6 miles to the gallon just plain sucks too.
