Loudmouth Vs Loudmouth 2 Which is better?

okay im running mac midlengths and random cats, im looking into the loudmouth 2 or the mufflex 4" spintec. the loudmouth one is just too loud for me so i was wondering how much quieter the loudmouth 2 can be?

how does it sound compared to the loudmouth 1. How much quieter can u make it than the original? and how does it sound vs the spintec.

If you have aftermarket headers even a LM II would probably be too loud for you. I'd recommend a hooker catback or a magnaflow.

what if u run the resonator from lm I and the race muffler from lm II would that quiet it up? and loud is okay, i just dont want it to be obnoxious

Re: Loudmouth Vs Loudmouth 2 Which is better?

what would that accomplish? the resonator is basically a straight pipe that makes the sound going into it a little louder. It's an either-or situation. LM I is definitely obnoxious. If you wanted to i guess you could go buy a longer bullet muffler, don't know how much more that would tone the sound down though.

But what i think the best decision would be, is to get a Magnaflow catback, and cutouts on your Y pipe. That way you can adjust whether you want a slightly toned-down, but still badass sound, to an increadibly loud and raspy, mean as hell sound.

manual (you have to get under the car and unscrew them) cutouts are around $30 each, and they also sell Y pipes that have them pre-installed, without cats of course.

If you are running cats, the LM1 will be a noisy on the edge of obnoxious. But, it is something I chose, which may make me a little biased. If you want to avoid obnoxious, go with the LM2 (aka Dynomouth). It will have less "rasp" than the LM1 and won't be quite as loud, but people will still know you're coming. Check www.ls1sounds.com and listen to the LM1 and Dynomouth clips to form your own opinion.

If you're looking at the LM you might also check out our Rumbler CB System. It has an 18" Bullet muffler in the I-pipe of the catback. I ran this system for awhile(picked up 16RW with it). It flows very well. I am now running a Hooker system but if you're looking for loud with a good sound then check it out. You can get the system with(2 different styles) or without tips. There should be some sound clips on ls1sounds.com.

Okay i think im going to go with the loudmouth II. It does have a "muffler" right and now just a resognator? in my city i need to have a muffler or its a ticket waiting to happen :P.

i noticed it said race muffler so it sounds okay to me.

Move your mouse over the mufflers/resonator and you can see why the LM1 is louder than the LM2.
