i have the loudmouth , with the y pipe.....i got my first warning yesterday for excessive noise, what can i put in place of that resonator, and will it tone the noise down considerably? and can i buy replacement tips ? does anyone know right off hand quickly?

if you want quiet to avoid tickets, you have two options,

1. get rid of the loud mouth. (you can't quiet it down. hence the name "loud mouth"

2. move somewhere else where the cops don't care

 

the dynomax race magnum bullet seems popular. is it just me or is this like a daily post. the name loudmouth is that for a reason, i just don't understand this.

Nope not at all. If you put a average Harley with open pipes (like most of them have) next to a LS1 with a Loudmouth....you wouldn't even hear the LS1.

I think they kinda let the bikes "slide", but hey what can ya do??

great exhaust for a once in a while ride or a more often raced car, but rather loud. trying to talk my buddy into corsa now since i get a dealer discount.

 

is the discount anything worhwhile?

 

seemed to be. corsa is a gm licensed product now which helps.

I don't think the Loudmouth on an LS1. They sound pretty obnoxious on an LT1 to me.

Actually, I'm planning on ordering one in a few weeks. Finally, after a long, long time, my first mod.

 

With stock manifolds the LM is loud, but not to bad IMO. I had LT's/ORY/LM. Then you can talk about loud.
