I recently got a 02 Trans Am and as far as I can tell from car fax and a paint reader, the car has never been in an accident.

There is a anyoing squeek coming from the driver side front that basically sounds like a squeeky bed!

If I close the windows and turn up the radio it drowns out but when the tops and windows are down it is getting annoying.

Can I spray some WD-40 or something somwhere? ANyone else have this problem?

i'm having a similar problem, when i hit a bump on the road, my rear suspension squeeks a little, and there is some kind of noise coming from the trans (i think). i got this car about 2 months ago, and also did a carfax to see if it's been wrecked. came out clean.

you might want to have the suspension greased if the problem continues. i tried WD40ing mine, but can't get the lub between the spring and the metal part where it meets. they'd have to take it apart and put some grease on it.

 

i got the same prob.... i have a 02 z, and when im cruising around 30-40,and i let foot off the pedal, i can feel something rubbing feeling and sound under the driver side floor(right under my foot), and when im looking for parking (i.e.), i can hear rubbing noises...what are those sounds and are they related???

02 z, a4 flowpac, 3200 vig., 3.73. lca, magnaflo, cutout

 

Its funny cuz I have had 3, 94 Z's and all went over 100,000. I never noticed any squeeks from them, and this 02 has just under 50,000. It seems to be coming from the driver side.

 

I know on my car the Sway Bar bushings can become very loud.
