loose frontend

My car only has 12k miles but already the front feels a little loose and has bumpsteer. I have to constantly turn the wheel to keep the car straight on any bumps and in the corners you can't make a smooth transition. It's like driving a suburban or my mustang before I replaced the front control arms, steering rack and struts. I can let go of the wheel and it goes straight though/

Did you check the u-joint in the steering shaft?
How about wheel bearings? Loose/bad wheel bearings can make the steering feel loose.

Also check tire pressure. I have a tire that keeps dropping to 22 PSI and causes that. As soon as I top it up. Everything is fine.
