looking for a Z stock exhaust

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to add a dual exhaust to my 2000 V6 convertible. I don't think I'm looking for anything too fancy, and someone told me that a lot of people with Z's change their exhaust and end up offering their old ones for sale. Does anyone have a setup they would like to sell? I'm looking for something in pretty good condition....
Thank you!

I've got one. I took it off the car at ~1000 miles so it is in good shape. I think you probably only need the muffler and tips. Any muffler shop (or anyone who can weld) could mount it to your I pipe I think. I work for FedEx so I get a 75% discount on shipping so shipping shouldn't be too bad. Name a price (I'm not trying to make a killing but make it worth my time). I will find out if I can ship it reasonably enough tomorrow.
Dustin

Edit: I live by Indianapolis, I don't know where Brunswick is but if its not too far a drive I could meet you half way.

Same here - I took off my Z28 stock exhaust at 700 miles for a Corsa. I still have the old exhaust - good condition - the intermdiate pipe is cleanly cut in one place on an angle so it can be welded back together cleanly and evenly (had to be cut to be taken off the car and over the axle).

Email me if interested

I have all of the pipes but it is cut. It would be easier to ship just the muffler and I think it would be easier to install also. It can easily be welded back together. In fact cutting it would be the best way to put it on because as one piece you would have to dismantlle some of the rear suspension to put it on.
Let me know if I should try to find out about shipping.

Hi Dustin,
Your setup sounds good, but I think I really need a muffler as well. Doesn't the muffler have to have two outputs for the dual exhaust? The one on the stock V6s of course only has one...
And I would also like a setup with tips =)

Same here, cut the "I" pipe.Mine in two spots. Like dkeers said it would be easier to send just the rear section, and have a exhaust guy make a new intermediate for you since you'll have to deal w/ hangers(get or make) and such to get it on yer car,oh and you'll need an "S"(get or make) to attach to the Cat.Our systems are staight the the "Y" which is centered unlike the v6 needs an S(I know I own a v6).
Me personally would get one from these guy w/ low miles. But your welcome to mine Free just pay shipping or I'll send COD. Mines got 33,000 on it. I have a 2.5" "S" also if you want free gots the flange 2-bolt,flare alittle and weld to 2.75" "I" and your in bussiness.

Sorry got it backwards(not the first time) the v6s cat is more centered then the Z,thats why you'll need a "S" pipe to head in the driverside direction to meet Cat.

The muffler that came on the z28's has only one pipe going in, then two coming out. I have the muffler with dual outlets and the z28 tips as one piece. Your stock exhaust (from the "y" to the axle)should mate right up to the inlet on the muffler. This seems like the best way (to me) for you to have the dual exhaust that you want. I looked up shipping rates and I think it can be shipped next day for ~$25-$35 with my discount. I will find out tomorrow night at work. Email me if you want to discuss a price (It won't be much.)
