Looking At Getting Some Pacesetter LT and y-pipe.

Thinking im gonna get me some coated long tubes with the y-pipe from pacesetter..Price is awesome. Now im probably gonna go with no-smog. What all do i delete? Am i gonna require any special tuneing after installing them? Anybody know of like a read-threw of the installation? Thanks for any info you can pass along.

The headers are great. My Ypipe was a piece of monkey****. I wouldn't buy the y pipe, but if you do, try to work out some kind of gurantee with the seller. You will delete A.I.R. and EGR.

do a search at LS1tech.com, lots of info on that setup...fitment issues you might want to read about.

Thumbs up

Just got through installing my Pacesetters this last weekend. There is a fit issue on the drivers side header. It hits the K Member, so notch it out BEFORE you put in the header. Also must jack car real high for the passenger side. Otherwise, just be patient and they will go right in! IF you can, install last two plugs on pass side before install. They are a beeeaatttccchhh. Search on this site and use the one that says "not happy with my new pacesetters" by foff667, he was a big help to me. Y-Pipe is hands down a piece of crap. I will be using a X-Pipe of somesort. I have the instructions if you have a fax machine?

I do not personally have one so I guess I am going off of ls1tech posts, but there seems to be some fit issues with that as well...hitting the floorboard, leaking at the collector, not to mention the 2 restrictive places. Like I said I dont have one, just rumor.

check out my site for the install...for non smog youd need to delete your egr and air codes...you also might want to take out the air pump...and ls6 intake would be a great upgrade at that point also.
