I've heard from a lot of people that the flowtechs sound like crap. Could that just have been their setup and how do pacesetters sound?

I think I paid $350 for my race style coated Pacesetters, back in December. Either $340 or 350. Either way, the price went up in December or January

One of the main complaints about these headers is that the Kmember on the driver side has to be notched to keep the headers from banging on them. Search for "pacesetter notch" in the external engine forum of LS1tech.com for pics
Another small complaint about these is the weld slag thats all over the inside of the primaries. I got those bb-bastards in mine, but its not like you'll lose much if any HP with em.

Other than that, the only thing I would recommend is a set of Poly motor mounts, to also keep the headers from banging the floorboards

how bout www.thunderracing.com

flowtech coated longtubes $370
ypipe $129

these come with the o2 extensions which saves quite a bit of $$

and the online order discount is about $20

plus they have all the accessories you may need like EGR, AIR and GM metal manifold gaskets (supplied ones suck), as well as band clamps and o2 sims.

i find that deal hard to beat

Wow, maybe I'll be ordering some lt's soon. Is the 370 before or after the discount and if before how do you get the discount?

oopss...sorry...my bad...

$379.99...

and that is before the discount, it's an "online order discount" so all you do is order online. the amount depends on how much you spend. contact thunder racing for more info...they are advertisers here and frequent the GP forum

right now i have flowtechs, orp with an 18" bullet muffler on the end, connected to a magnaflow catback.

sound is very nice, bullet helps with the rasp on the higher rpms. but it very mellow around town and absolutely screams at WOT
