A little help please

Hello all, I am debating on which motor to get LS1 or LS2 for my 67. My ideal setup would be pretty much a stock simple bolt on with a supercharger and cam kit, but the thing is I am researching both motors and I am leaning more on the LS1 because of the compression. So my question is which motor would be healthier/ reliable for street daily driven with the stock supercharge setup. Yeah I understand both motors are pretty close, but the torque in the LS2 is a lot less then the LS1. So if you guys can please put your knowledge and suggestions in. Thanks

If a blower is a must you are going to be limited, you can only get about 6 psi on a stock bottom end ls1 or ls2 because of the compression. Either one should be fine with a blower if set up and tuned properly.

I wouldn't even bother with a blower, though. You can make 500 rwhp NA with a decent LSx setup. get a 4" bore LS2 or iron block, put a 4" stroke in it, some decent heads, medium cam and you are there.

the the cheaper one, and the buy a set of ported truck heads with the 72cc chamber.

your compression will go down and you'll have the flow of good heads.

the SC will thank you, as will the engine
