this is a really loud nasty knock, what could it be?it happened about 10min after the car was running.

drop a lifter? lifter go dry?

 

I just did a cam on my Ls1 and the valve train is as quiet as it was before. I'm sure you torqed the rockers but I would check them again. I made several passes on mine as I turned the crank and watched for the rockers to come off the lobes. Also if a valve keeper was improperly seated that could lead to trouble. Let me know what you find.
