lids, lids, lids.....
I know that most lids are the same, performance wise. Are there any I should stay away from because of low performance and/or manufacturing defects? Are there any that tend to out perform the others?
Also, what brands offer lettering. I would like to have one marked with white "LS1" lettering. Does this exist?

At least I haven't heard any quality/performance complaints about any specific manufacturer's lids. So, I guess they are all pretty much the same.
Unlike in LT1's where there are differences in the CAI systems.
I've seen many lids with the LS1 marked on it, so I am pretty sure somebody sells that.

The Whisper Lid is marked with the "LS1". Most lids are close to the same performance and manufacturing. If you don't abuse it, it will last as long as you want it to. Just get the cheapest one you can find.
I had the Stealth lid which was very good quailty but I have the new carbon fiber TSP 85mm lid on the way. The TSP lid has been getting higher dyno & better track times than the lids out there so you might want to check it out.

SLP BLACKWING LID... By far the best looking Lid and OEM build, also one of the best flowing lids, comes with the Donaldson filter

What is the SLP "blackwing"? Is there more than one SLP lid? The SLP lid that I know of seems to have a different shape from most of the other lids, and it just "appears" to be a little more restrictive by its shape.
