Lid CAI or FIPK

debating on going with the CAI from SLP or just getting me a FIPK from K&N...which is best bang for the buck? and which is preferred for you LS1 guys?

Lid.. SLP lid is the better flowing lid. There IS a 90mm lid out there.

FIPK is a dyno mod.. Only produces "better" numbers on a dyno. Otherwise sucks hot air, but looks really nice, I do say.

I've got the FIPK and I'd have to also say to just get a lid. Lots cheaper.

The FIPK comes w/ a new support that you can cut a slot into so cold air comes from the air dam (same as the free mod done on the regular support), but you're still getting some air from the engine compartment. Plus my air filter gets really dirty on the bottom side now.

I'll be modifying it soon so it's sealed off from the engine bay and maybe post pics when I'm done. Should be fun and will look impressive, but even then I doubt it will be any better than an aftermarket lid w/ a high flow filter and a slot for extra flow.

Bellows are a waste of money.
Injectors aren't needed 'till you up the power a LOT, meaning agressive cam or heads cam.

well I wanted the bellows for the smoother look, injectors are a play because I will eventually get heads.
GM hot cam just came in 218/227 int/exh @ 0.05" duration 0.525" / 0.525" int/exh lift 112 LSA. and plenty more to go.
