My buddy is selling his lid off of his 00 z28 will this fit my 2002?

itl fit but it wont have the hole in the side for you to hook up for AIR tube. so youll either have to remove the AIR system or get a breather filter for like $15.

Why?? 00-02 had the AIR hooked to the lid. It should be the same.

I think it depends on the type of lid, I don't think that all makers made their lids too hook up to the AIR system, but I could be wrong

really i thought it was 98-00 w/o AIR and 01-02 with it? you may be right though. i have an 02 so i mostly know about my style cars not about the earlier ones.

Everyone gets confused about this stuff. But here's the easy way to keep it straight.

98 & 99 are the same AIR, EGR, LS1 intake, tubular exhaust manifolds.

01 & 02 are the same AIR, no EGR, LS6 intake, cast iron manifolds.

00 was the change over year. It has the new style AIR, still has EGR and LS1 intake, but has the new cast iron manifolds.
