Which Lid?

I was wondering if there is any difference in the difference brands of lids? Does one flow better then the other? I heard that the TSP lid flows more then the others. Does anyone have numbers to back this up? Which one do ya'll recommend? Thanks

Wink

They're all about the same. The new TSP lids looks promising. I've been real happy with my Stealth lid though.

All lids are the same for hp gains. Just pick whatever looks best for you. I chose the clear lid because it can't be beat with a Holley Powershot filter

The TSP lid dynoed 7 RWHP over a wisper lid. It is a revamped design.

Do this at the same time you get a lid.

Go to lowes, in the pluming section is a 3" x 3" FERNCO black rubber sleeve. use that to replace the accordian bellows after the maf. It needs a little cutting across the top and snugs right up. Use a lil spit to help the sleeve to slide on. THis is what slp selld for $50 as the "smooth bellows" . It'll cost you $3.00.

you can post here and ls1.com's parts wanted section for a used lid all day long for cheap too!

as far as brand unless youput out 400 rwhp they all gonna gain youabout the same

that's on an automatic ls1 with head/cam work on it... the gains won't be as high on a stock to slightly modified car

Well glad you can read. I was simply stating that the TSP is the best one on the market right now. And you are correct probally won't gain as much on an slightly modded or stock car as a heavily modded one. But it will produce more HP than any lid I have seen so far weather it may be a H/C car or off the lot stock car.

MTI lids and the stealth lid made more hp gain on dyno's than the whisper lid... so i'd stand firm to say that probably the stealth lid, mti lid and the tsp lid are probably the top 3 lids on the market that produce more rwhp than the other lids
