Thumbs down Left bank not firing (LS1)

Ok, now this is a problem with the LS1 in the GTO but if should be close enough to the Camaro that maybe someone has dealt with this.

On the way home Friday after driving about 5-10 minuets, the car lost a lot of power and started running really rough. As much as I didn't want to keep driving it I wasn't exactly in an area where I could stop and wait for a tow truck, at least not if I wanted to keep my radio and wheels. The concern never seemed to get worse as I went and when I got back and checked the oil there was no sign of gas, I checked a little further and found there was no change in the idle when I removed any of the left bank injector connectors. I don't have a scanner available this weekend and I already checked the grounds on the block for corrosion but there is nothing obviously wrong, has anyone run across this before? I also found a fuse marked "engine sensors" that was blown but after pulling the battery cables and replacing the fuse there is no change. Thanks for any help.

I don't think the car would run at all if only the right bank was firing. Have you checked the plugs, wires, and coils yet?

Try checking that fuse again and see if it's blown once again. Also, verify that the left bank is not firing by testing spark output from the coils and make sure all of the cylinders are not firing on that side. If those problems do exist, post up and i'll see what I can do to help.

I had that problem before, & it ended up being corosion on the coil connectors, because I sprayed under the hood to keep it clean, and apparently one of the connectors did not keep out all the water, and hence... buildup.. You could also have faulty wiring in the coil pack.

Try switching coils off a friends car, all 4 at one, from one side to the next.. see if that corrects it. Good luck.
