Awesome ET but isn't that trap lacking a little for being a H/C/N2O car?

3700 lbs? nah I might pick up a couple mph on a 26" tire, but I would run out of gear

I was pretty impressed until I saw that it took some spray to do it.

What does it run NA?
Is the 3700 the race weight?
Is it actual scaled weight or an estimate?

Mine in the sig is NA but 3340 raceweight.

before this 10 second pass, I ran 4 passes 11.9 with 1.7 60'. The DA was about 2000.
Will try to tweak the suspension for some 1.5 60' 11.5 runs.

estimate race weight
only weight reduction is spare tire. Added 12 bolt and suspension, stereo + driver

Not very impressive for a TH350 with a stall, 4.10s, ET Streets, etc.

Your Heads/Cam setup seems to be extremely weak on motor. Maybe you'll see better times in December. What did it dyno? Allan is no slouch when he tunes these cars, so I blame the lack of power on the setup. I would have advised against using the LE stuff on any LSx setup. The aftermarket stuff is just too proven to do otherwise.

And for the love of God....edit your sig.

"Conveniently" leaving "Nitrous" out of the list of your mods for that 10-second ET is just.... well.... lame...

I had 2 seperate shops say it was the machine work that caused the problem but Lloyd still blamed it on me...

wow- feelin the hate

dynoed 395 RWHP and 490 on spray

this is a street car, not a max effort gutted race car. How many 10 second street cars are in your town? I have 3 in my town of 100,000. This was the very first trip to the track, with a DA over 2000. The convertor is tight, maybe too tight- this car drives great and the convertor works well on the spray.

I clearly stated "100 dry shot" in the first post
what is lame is listing cars in your sig. that you USED to have.

What converter do you have. A 1.7 60 foot is stock motor/yank converter numbers. Are you spinning the tires?

Please go weigh the car with you in it then you'll know what you're working with. If your car is a loaded TA and you weigh 250 your race weight could be 3900#s you just don't know.

What are those? Pushrods?

You really shouldn't post stuff like this without an explanation.

Those are guides, and just look posts by that user and you can find the story. No sense in him cluttering another thread up with that entire story. It also useless for him to troll around and look for LE threads to post that stuff as well.

I think the passes look alright for being the first time out, these are just ported stock castings and a small cam. With tweaking the NA times will surely get better, also the converter may not be right. 1.7 NA/and 1.5Spray 60fts aren't where it should be...so it will pick up there. Suspension could need some work as well. LE1 H/C setup for the LS1 is pretty mild I believe, and it put down decent power on the dyno. I think some of the guys here are alittle tough to give credit where its due. I mean I read about how easy it is to go fast, and this and that all the time on the internet. But in real life, at the tracks I go to, you don't see it that often.... Oh well, keep tweaking the combo. Many people don't take the time to do that and to go as fast as possible. FWIW, I have a friend with a 00' Z28 that has MTI ported stock heads/X1 cam(fairly similar to the LE1 setup just far more expensive) and he ran 11.80's when he first got it back. Its been a few years and with some tweaks and some weight reduction it now goes 11.teens@121 with 403rwhp/400rwtq.

HERE is your signature. Notice that it doesn't include "Nitrous" as a mod, leading people to believe that you achieved 10s on motor with your setup.

If you live anywhere near south Louisiana, there are a TON of 10 second capable street cars around. With everyone buying up cheap LS1 cars and Fox Body Mustangs, nearly anyone can have a 120+ MPH car for cheap.

I didn't say that they weren't OK. It's just the point that the title says LE1 heads/cam equals 10s. Totally misleading, I was very impressed until I got to the very bottom of the post and see that he used a power adder too.

When I post up that stock shortblock with Dart 225s + custom cam = 10s I mean with no power adder. See sig.

Yeah, because Kreast has no experiance with built LS1's
