Knock Sensor

Hey guys have a knock sensor code (knock sensor low signal) Also have noticed a loss of power as of late. Any corelation between the two? Knock sensor causing timing issues? Please let me know what you think.

yeah you'd expect if your getting a bad knock then your performance would go down a little as your most likely not getting the "ample combustion" in the engine.. I’ve heard in the past of similar situations actually being caused by a bad tank of gas but it could be various other mechanical things causing the problem and of couse it could just be the sensor messing up

i just got the same problem with mine. the service eng. light when on and the dealer told me it was the knock sensor. it also claims that my O2 sensor is bad but i just change those. im changing the knocks on the weekend, and lets see if i gain some lost power back.

The knock sensor can seriously kill power if it's seeing false knock or doing other stupid **** to retard your timing.

I was seeing around 10 degrees of false knock (noisy Morel lifters and valvetrain setup) with my 408 and picked up around 20 rwhp once we deadened them.
