K&N filter oil inside the manifold....

How bad can K&N red filter oil damage the engine if a little bit gets inside the intake. I oiled it, then put it in the car, then had to leave right away and my engine made some funny sounds for like an hour but i'm not sure if I did any damage of any kind.

It'll burn along w/the fuel.

The problem would be w/it coating the MAF wires. Clean them off.

the first thing to do is not put so much oil on the filter. also, there is a bulletin that could void the warranty based off of excessive oil on after market air filters like k&n. there has been problems with damage to the iat sensor, etc and it may not be covered under warranty if you soak the air filter with too much oil.
