Just some LSx questions...

I was thinking of building a 427 stroker LSx motor. Heh, wanted to go BIG! Anyways, I was looking at that sheetmetal intake on LS1Speed.com. Do you think that would work well with the 427? And also, where can I get an iron 427 block? Also, does anyone know where I can find a butt load of info on that Phase III ZL1 Camaro? Thanks!

It sounds like the C5-R block is what you're looking for. I know it's an aluminum block, but it's one hell of a base to start from. The only place I've seen recently that uses that block in a 427 package is SLP. But, based on all the things I've heard about SLP, I probably wouldn't go with much of their products. They don't seem to have the quality that you get with other aftermarket products for the same $$$. Good luck with your build.

What would need to be done to a T-56 if it were to run behind my 427? How much would that cost to beef up, and what parts?

The sponser MTI can answer all those questions from you.. You can stroke and punch out your ls1/6 block.. or You can go with an 6.0L iron block and puch that out.. or you can go with a C5R block..

If your really spendy, try to go with C5R heads on a C5R block, and have a custom intake manifold built for you... I'm not sure how they would work on a street car though, since they are made for LeMans racing, and compression starts out at 12:1 i think..
