He's absolutely right. They weigh more and thus run slower then a T-top or hard top car. If you are going to run at the track at all then reconsider a convertible. They need a roll bar installed right off the friggin bat to be NHRA legal since they are still capable of 13's stock.

But if racing the car is not an issue for you then not much looks better IMO then a LS1 cruising the streets on a fine summer day with the top down

Lightbulb A few things of note:

'00 Model year did away w/ that oh-so-annoying & constantly screwing up ! low coolant sensor !

They also went to a cast iron exhaust manifold which i have been told flows better than the S.S. header styles the '99's have.

However, they seem to have driver's bank catalytic converter problems - the husband & wife F-body duo that I knew (she sold hers) both had this happen to them on their '00 models - his an SS , and hers a WS.6.

Howver, as this is an emissions item, it seems like GM covers it for 5 years or 60K, whichever is first.

Hope this helps.

Well, never mind, the cov was sold. My car pulled up 7 codes! The computer said to replace itself!! Also 2 o2 sensors. The only thing I have I have doon to date is descreen the MAF, and that was 2 weeks ago. This couldn't have anything to do w/ it could it?
