hey whats up everyone. just saying hi. im new here but im not new to muscle cars. i owned a 87 firebird formula 350 a little while back and sold it for a civic so i could get good gas mileage commuting to college. now i am going into the marines and want my dream car. a ls1 trans am. i did some looking around by me and its gonna be hard to find one here but im not leaving for boot camp until february. i want a 6 speed and will settle for a ss to. just wanted to say hi to everyone. peace

Welcome to the Board man! A Trans Am is a great choice, especially in the color Pewter. The WS6 package is the way to go, but if you're going to heavily mod it then go without the WS6 package. Well, good luck on your search.

Good luck on your search for the TA. A buddy of mine just sold his 97 Stang GT for a 2001 Sunset Orange Metallic TA WS6 and I don't think the guy could be happier. You'll love owning an LS1.

What color WS6 would I choose?? Well, my #1 choice would be black (hence, black '02 Z28!! ), but I do like Pewter on them, and Silver on Z28's as a 2nd choice. However, I also like the Navy Blue Metallic....................geez, too many choices!

Good luck finding your "dream car" --- I know I haven't regretted a single moment in mine so far --- and don't settle for an automatic if the 6-speed is what you really want.....................there have been a "few" moments I've regretted (although I can't admit it this soon) not getting a 6-speed.
