Just Replaced My Pushrods, but now its ticking

Well I just finished replacing my bent pushrods. What a major pain that was! Now I got everything put back together, but now when I start it up I've got a pretty loud tick. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to take the valve covers off again and inspect. Does anyone know what actually causes the tick? Is it the pushrod rubbing on the guide holes in the head?

Thanks for the help,
Will

did you re-torque the rockers after a while? being aluminum it is fairly soft so you will need to re-torque them. or it could be your egr gaskets. if i remember correctly both of those will make a ticking sound.

Mine ticked real bad too when I pulled them to check'em. Once I let it run for a few minutes the ticking went away.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess it was just to late when I finished. I only ran it for about a min or so. So this morning when I woke up I went out started it up, no more tick. Now she's running better then ever. I took her out, got on it a few times and she's running great, no more tick!

Thanks for the help,
Will
