Just picked up a 2000 T/A what mods to do
hey guys I just bought a 2000 T/A WS6 6spd, It has a Lid and a loudmouth exhaust, with those it dynoed at 327RWHP and 335RWTQ not to bad. What mods should I do next?
With those numbers your'e off to a great start.
The first thing I would do in stiffen up the chassis. Put some sub-frame connectors (SFC) on, preferably weld-ons. Then install a steering tower brace (STB).
Do you have an after market shifter with the WS6 package. I have a Hurst billet and I like it.
Next, I would install some headers. Here in California, we can only install shorty headers due to CARB smog emissions. Most people receive the biggest gains from long tube headers. If you can install them legally were your'e at go with them. Oh, most people say headers with a loadmouth is too load, so take that into consideration.
You may want to install some after market lower control arms (LCA). If you choose to lower the car get some relocation brackets along with the LCAs. Of coarse lowering involves installing after market lowering springs. Eventually you will need new shocks, lowering wears out the factory shocks in a hurry. So you may want to replace the shocks at the same time you replace the springs.
I would say that is a pretty good start. Actually you have a very good ride already

You need a cold air kit. I'd recommend a Supersucker. This kit actually scoops in air unlike the other kits. It has a scoop located under the bumper. Since you have a 6spd I'd get a Qwik Stick to improve shifts. You need a set of long tube headers. Expect to pay $700+ for headers and y-pipe. Next you need a good cam like a Comp cam 224/.581/112LSA. I got a lot of this stuff from LM Performance.

I don't know why, but nobody ever mentions the ASP crank pulley. GET IT! It's a guaranteed 10th in the quarter mile and no adverse effects. They cost around $200. You may also want to get the ls6 intake manifold, that will give you about 15 hp. By the way, your car is putting down some really good numbers for all you have.
In no particular order:
LS6 intake
G5x2 cam (LGMotorsports)
ASP crank pulley
LT headers
O/R y pipe (though you'll want to weld some bullet mufflers in if you keep the loudrasp, er mouth)
SFC's
gears
clutch
torque arm
ported throttle body
LS1 edit
Autotap
Aftermarket rearend
Since you have a WS6, I'd get the Brian Green Ram air mod, (as opposed to the super sucker) which will make your hood nostrils truly functional.

Another vote for the Subframe connectors and Strut Tower Brace. BMR is the brand I got and I love them it really stiffened up the frame and when I step on it , it doesn't pull to the right real hard like it did before I had those done. It just squats and goes. I also have the Lower Control Arm's. The BMR's are pretty cheap aswell and are still a very good product. I also suggest the weld-in's. Many of the sponsors sell them. Just look around and good luck.
