Thumbs up Just installed my GMMG exhaust!!!

I just installed my GMMG exhaust today and HOLY SH|T!!!!!! IT IS ****ING AMAZING! It took my dad and I about 30 minutes to take the stock exhaust off and install the GMMG. The sound is unbelievable. I even gained horsepower on the low and high end! I am so happy with this exhaust, just thought I would share with you guys. It is by far the best sounding catback exhaust I have ever heard in my life. I'm off to worship my exhaust again.

GMMG

*Sigh* I'm jealous. I really wish I had the money for one but $800 is just a little much for me.

Thumbs up

I got mine for $650 shipped through a group purchase at http://www.f-bodyhideout.com . Sleeper94z does the group purchases for GMMG, and he will probably set up another one in the next month or so. It comes with the slash cut tips, which look pretty good actually. I'm going to eventually get a pair of either mecham oval tips or some type of quad tips. Wherever I go people turn around I've already had 6 compliments on my exhaust within 2 hours of having it!

Good for you but damn, it's just an exhaust. I'd hate to see how you'd act after a cam.

Yeah, but with the tips at $150...it ends up to be $800. But still, $650 is a lot.

closest thing to it for very cheap is just get the sweet thunder mufflers and put them on your setup and loose your muffler.

I would never pay $150 for those tips. I'll probably go in on a group purchase of Mecham tips or some type of quad tips.

As far as the sweet thunder muffler idea, I've heard sweet thunder custom GMMG style setups on the LS1, and they didn't sound like the GMMG. Not only did they not have the sound, but the setup wasn't entirely stainless steel. With my GMMG, I have a lifetime warranty against rust or corrosion. The GMMG chambered mufflers are different than the sweet thunders, although the sweet thunders don't sound that bad. I'm more than happy with the GMMG, and the sound is 10 times better than a Borla or Corsa exhaust and cheaper

The only difference is the GMMG is the complete catback ... the 3" I-pipe over the stock 2.75" I-pipe is what would account for any difference in the sound.

Any decent exhaust shop can fabricate a 3" stainless I-pipe ...

And I highly doubt that GMMG is actually manufacturing the chambered muffler themselves ... probably buying them from Sweet Thunder

LOL you sound like a GMMG salesman. Was that part of the stipulation for the group buy?

I have to agree with Omega9~I just installed mine, about 2 hrs start to sweep up. All I have to say is . I have heard every exhaust out there for the LS1 and nothing compares to GMMG . I know it sounds like a sales pitch, but it has to be heard in person to really know what we're so happy about. This is the exhaust for the F-body~~

Poor quality video, but a good watch anyway

There are 3 other videos at GMMGs site so you can hear it at idle and whatnot.

Nothing beats hearing one in person though.
