Just bought an SS

I put the deposit on an SS today. Its a '98 hardtop with 9,400 miles. Its red with red cloth interior. This car is MINT. It has no SLP options, 6-Speed, ASR, and CD player. Its soooo clean. Picking it up tomorrow or Saturday. I'm paying $18,995 for it with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty.

Dude... Nice car, but that's A LOT of money for a '98 with no options... I'd try to talk them down...
I got mine in seattle for 22k, and cars are NOT cheap here.

I hear ya, but this car is brand new. The only option that I wish it had (other than SLP options) is leather. The car is in MINT shape. In NY, the prices are just as high if not higher. Its crazy here.

Congrats Dave. A 98 with only 9400 miles!!!! The car is barely broke in!! Even for what you paid I still think you got a deal for being in NY. Enjoy the car

Red interior? That sounds sweet. Post some pics as soon as you can. I would love to see how that looks. Congrats on the "new" SS.

Thumbs up

If those are the real miles and the car has never had any body/flood damage I think that is a fair price anywhere in the country especially if you bought it at a dealer.

Congrats on the car and please post pics when you get them. I've never seen a red SS with red interior before and it sounds sweet.
