Jump starting car

Happy New year everyone, This may be a stupid question I have a 98 z28. Is it safe to jump start the car from a booster battery or can it damage the computer. I just want to make sure before I do it. Also I notice when i reverse out my driveway and I turn the steering wheel to the right the front right wheel seems to give as it goes down the driveway maybe not a good description but i'm thinking maybe tierod or something any ideas on this also. Thanks guys

Re: Jump starting car

I don't hink that would cause a problem with the computer. If your battery is stone dead you may have to "re-learn" the computer. By which I mean take it through a complete drive cycle-not getting on it but by driving normal. Up hill, gradual acceleration, deceleration....etc. Make sure the batery you are jumping with is at full charge and hooked up correctly. Personally, I'd rather use another vehicle, so it's system can help keep the batt. voltage up. If that's all you had at the time it should be O.K.
