Jet Hot or Hooker LT?

Which is better? I can get the Jet Hot's for about $100 less than the Hookers, and they claim to have better access to the O2 hookups.

I just got the Jet-Hot's put on and I think they are great. Awsome sound they look great too. My wrench guy had problems with the Y-Pipe though. He has to redo it cause when I throttle at first it torques and bumps against the floor board on the drivers' side. He was just trying to get me as much clearance as he could.

i have heard a lot of bad things of the fitment of the jet-hots, compared to the hookers. i say hookers

ever thought of stainless?
i want some QTP's cause then i don't have to worry about rust, or coatings. the slp's are stainless too but te hang low.

I have Jet-Hot's and like them a lot. If I had been in the market for an expensive header I would have gone with Kooks or PPC, but truthfully the gains over the Hooker/Jet-Hot's does not justify the price increase IMO. The difference will pay for much of my cam install.

a friend of mine has had his jet-hot hooker LT's for about 8 months. his car is stored, and he NEVER drives in foul weather. in the short time that he has had them the coating on the pass. side header has started to pit and peel off. jet-hot's warranty/customer service has seemed to leave him stranded too.
i, personally, wouldn't buy jet-hot coated products.

Hookers and Jet-Hots are identical in terms of physical design. Jet-Hots, however, have a much better ceramic coating, doing a better job of preventing heat from entering the engine chamber.

Plus Jet-Hot's have a thicker flange, 5/16 compared to 3/8 on Hookers.

if they are "identical" as you say they are, then why have i heard so many people that have them complain about fitment issues and banging and not nearly as many about the hookers. yes they are BASED off the hookers, but they are not identical.

All the people I know with the hookers have had no fitment issues at all. I've seen nothing but complaints about the jet-hots. I'd like to have the better features of the jethots, but from the complaints I've seen, I'd go with the hookers.

You get what you pay for. Unfortunately, LS1 header prices are fu*king ridiculous.

If you want proven headers that I have never seen a complaint about, go with FLPs. But they'll run you upwards of 1300 bucks. Thats with a Y-Pipe, cats and interchangable test pipes.

Do a search on LS1TECH.com
