anyways...my SES light came on.....131 and 151 codes, both for the front sensors....do you think thats a reason why im running crappy times? i seen people with these mods run mid 12! some quicker...

60 ft looks OK, but could be a little better considering the stall and stickies. The MPH is low and I think you might need some tuning...

Is your car in good mechanical tune, wires, plugs, healthy fuel pump, ect.? Did you install those long tubes recently? If so, it is very easy to trash those front sensors.

exactely what i was thinking!

i think my long tubes messed up my sensors...i knew i should have waitined about 4-6 weeks to put the new sensors in instead of right away...i read that somewhere

I suggest you keep investigating. I'd put the best tune up on it you can, and then go race again and see if your times improve.

FWIW, O2 sensors have zero affect on WOT performance- the problem is not them.

Re: Intresting delimna.....track times....dont add up!?

If you're getting codes saying your front O2 sensors aren't working, then your car will force itself into open-loop (safe/rich factory tune that ignores some of the feedback from the motor's sensors) and revert to the low-octane spark table where timing is reduced. Unless your car has been FULLY tuned with EFI Live, HPTuners, or LS1 Edit, your running with a less than optimum tune - especially considering you've modified the vehicle form stock. You should try some C5 rear O2 sensors since you're running longtubes, have someone reset your SES codes, and see if that helps any. The rear C5 O2's run a little hotter, which should help now that the sensor location has been moved further away from the motor.

You should definetly be trapping higher. My little brothers 98 ta went 13.6 at 103 and that was at 3500 ft above sea level.

i trapped at 106.5 with a 13.5. did you get your idle speed adjusted after the convertor install? I'm not sure if that would effect 1/4 times, but its important to do. with 323s you should be high 12s in the 110 mph + range. the 60' looks good though

Re: Intresting delimna.....track times....dont add up!?

i have hit 1.7 60s, but not that night.

ok, lil more info, i apologize, but i do have 00 rear 02s for my fronts....since they are longer and i eliminate the need for extensions.

the car is in great condition....runs prefect outside of above 80mph and 5krpms and above when i run the 1/4 mile. 75 k miles, 3000 or less on mods.

Well, your low ET dictates a problem breathing, whether it's in or out. I'm sure it's on the exhaust side. Were the 02's you put in brand new? If not, put new ones in, they could be FUBAR. Second, you should pull them out anyway and see if there's a huge carbon buildup on them already. You could be running very rich, which would have fried your sensors. I ran my car without a tune after LTs and fried one of my O2's after a few hundred miles. Put new ones in and haven't had a problem in 15K miles.

That's where I'd check
