Installed Pacesetters! One problem..

Okay so I installed my pacesetters and Y-pipe to the Hooker cat back today! Looks good, sounds alittle loud but not too bad actually! Cool roar when I lay on it! But there is a knocking when I idle like the driveshaft is hitting the floor, and it seems the headers are knocking abit.. it was a tight fit.. is this normal and will it fix itself?

Thanks.

mine do it also. notch the k-member or lay into it with something inbetween the k-member and the header.... that will bend it out some maybe

Hmm.... it's only when I am sitting still with it in park does the nocking occur badly. I was told it was my Y-pipe hitting the heat shield. . . and that I could take the heatshield off or just deal with it. Meh. It is pretty loud, I guess thats my fault for not buying Cats. -.-;

There is 1/8 inch heat shield asbestos stuff,I got it from work,but industrial supply stores should have it.install it between your pipe and heat shield>Jake

put a wrench or something in there inbetween the shield and the y-pipe then goose it real quick to twist the engine. take the "filler" out and see if it helped any

A piece of rubber hose between the header and floorboard works great and is much easier.
