The clear lid can be found at www.motorsporttech.com

If you just want black, I'd go with whatever is cheaper. They're all the same, really.

Personally, I was going to get the clear one.. but I rarely open my hood.. and I am not into shows. After talking to some owners of the clear lid, they stated that if you take it on and off a few times it developes small cracks..

I am now looking at getting a Whisper Carbon Fiber look..

Whatever you get, get the Holley Powershot filter as it fits better than the K&N..

I thought about the clear lid too, but I dont show my car so I didnt really see the point in paying 150 for a lid when I can get the same performance out of 100. I got my lid from LS1 Motorsports. Oh and yeah they are all basically the same. What you are mainly doing is just getting rid of the huge air baffles on the stock lid.

Don't get the MTI clear lid.

I got the clear one and wish I didn't. It's crap. I'm afraid to even touch it, it's so fragile. Get the Direct-Flo. It's cheap and it's just as good as any out there.

MTI makes the clear lid, and that's the only one I know of. From what I understand, the newer clear lids are better than their first ones, but they still are not as durable as the plain black ones.

I bought the black MTI lid for $99 last year.

Get the Holley PowerShot filter. NOT the K&N. The K&N doesn't fit right, even with the crappy gasket they give you. I paid $34 for a Holley PowerShot filter from Jeg's.

thank you for the advice. I was just crusing the net and I saw something called volant induction. Is this worth the $275? I probably jsut go the the plain black lid, seems to be the best price. thanx again.
