IF you Plan on doing water temp gauge

If you plan on putting an autometer water temp gauge in an LS1 you will need a few extra parts. For an electic temp gauge that goes into the passenger side head you will need the metric adaper fitting from autometer part# ATM2277 and a different sender part#ATM2259. The sender and adapters that come with the guage don't fit so make sure you get these two other parts. They are about $10 a piece. Hopefully this will save a few of you a bid headache.

interesting.

been thinking of doing something like that for a while. would be nice to know exactly what my ECT actually is.

i just can't seem to bring myself to install one of those ugly pillar guage pods.

been throwing around trying to make a 2 guage holder that fits in the rectangular center air vent...not both vents...just the driver side. i think two 2 1/16" guages would fit...if not...just one

I wonder what'll happen if you just swap the sender that's on the car already. I would think that if our guages are "dummy" guages, it's because of the signal they're receiving is a dummy signal. Wouldn't you?

been discussed before...the signal is run through the ECM...so it isn't just a matter of swapping senders.

but it would be nice

I believe the stock sender gives a signal to the ecu for the fans so you have to leave that one alone.

You could just bolt one on under your dash with one of those 2 or 1 guage chrome bezels.
