you can't get much better than a hurst shifter, you've already have an ss, there's not much to do, the car is already perfect. yeah an exhaust if you want it. black stripes would be my first thing.

Fast Toys Ram Air, filter (K&N or Holley), Direct-Flo lid. 3" exhaust (your choice). ASP crank pulley. BMR shock tower brace and subframe connectors (double-diamond design)
I don't have a stick but I guess a new shifter would be nice too
You should even have a few $$$ left over for some other stuff

Ok, I am thinking about getting the package deal from LS1motorsports.com You get a direct flow air lid, Holley Powershot Filter, SLP 85mm Mass Airflow sensor, and Corsa Cat-Back for 880$$

That would be all the performance parts I would get. Next would be suspension. How about BMR sfc's and stb. I supppose I will throw in a Short Stick from lou as well. This would leave me about 1,000 for rims and tires. I really want Y2K C5 rims and I have a place that I can get brand new non oem chrome 5 spokes for around 900$ Tires will have to be next summer I guess.

You comments would be apprecieated. Thanks a bunch.

Can't beat that, go for it.

SFCs are a good idea too, the Kenny Brown DDs are a good choice and I think they're around $225-250.

get a lou's short stick and a set of 4.10's to start off with. I just installed my short stick last week on my hurst shifter and I love it. the throw is much shorter. I highly recommend spending the 50 dollars on it.

Sounds like you've got a plan
Personally I skipped the 85mm MAF and just went with ported ends. I've heard too many discrepancies about that mod.
Also a second vote here for the Kenny Brown SFCs. I would choose those over a tubular design -- just MHO though.

OK GUYS. Do I go with the package deal or not. Would it be better to avoid the 85mm or not? I suppose I should do some more shopping before i blow my money!

1. Lou Short stick
2. lid
3. exhuast
4. sfc's and stb
5. Y2K C5 rims!?!!??

I would go with the package. If you get the lid and Corsa(with the nice polished pro-series tips) separately then you're going to spend about the same amount, so it's almost like you're getting the MAF for free. If you gain a little power with it...great. If not, then throw the stock MAF back on.

Yeah, you could always sell the SLP MAF if it doesn't perform.
