Idle skip/miss

I did search! i couldn't come up with anything or might of not used the correct wording. My car is stock basically has a lid since ive had it, it doesn't have a problem missing underload or uptop but at idle i will have alittle miss/skip involved with the shifter shaking with the miss or skip obviously no codes for it but is this normal

Sounds a little normal. When's the last time you did a full tuneup and how many miles are on the car?

As was pointed out to me a few weeks ago by another member here, GM put out a TSB stating that there is a new Delco Iridium plug with a .040 gap that is suposed to clear up the idle miss that all LS1s have.
Just for fun I went into Advanced Auto and asked what their book showed for a Delco replacement plug for our 98 SS and he came out with the new plug. But they are about $8 per plug.

Question Back from the dead ! Similar issue, though.

I just had the plugs changed by the same mechanics that have done it twice before. NGK plugs, not sure what the gap is , and the stock coil wire were replaced w/ MSD's ( ) the 1st time around - say 32K.

Car has 93K on it now.

I now am experiencing what I will call a "hard miss" at idle - meaning that when it does this, it is noticeably different than just the usual mildly lumpy idle . Like the engine died for a brief second , then came back to life.

Stock engine internals , Borla catback on it since I bought it in '01 w/ 24K on the car - basically, nothing has changed other than the plugs and this was not happening before.

Think it could be a bad plug ? The car runs fine other than an occasional surge feeling when taking off from a stop.

No SES light , either.

Thanks !

Britt
