idle dropping to 5oo rpm?

Changed the plugs and wires, cleaned the MAF, cleaned the idle control but still have problems with my stop and go traffic. Can anyone tell me what else to look for? Murrey's speed shop said maybe O2's but hate to spend another $200 not knowing if they really need to be changed. Car is 99 stock except SLP air box and new centerforce clutch. Car runs great just seems to seach and drop down to loow idle.

Reboot the computer. Can't hurt, might help.

thanks for the reply. How do I reboot the computer? Do I need to buy a programmer or can it be done by pulling fuses or something?

turn the key on but do not start the motor.
In the upper under hood fuse box pull the 2 ignition fuses (ign batt and ign pcm if memory serves)
after about 10 minutes turn the key off
then reinstall the fuses and start the motor
let it sit and idle for 10 minutes or so then turn the AC on MAX and let it idle for 10 more.
The first part reboots the computer the last steps lets it relearn the idle.

It should be throwing a code with the idle that low...have it scaned with a TECH II and see what the code is...that will tell you what he problem is ... it could be a throttle posistion sensor gone bad...if so they are not expensive and can be changed in two minutes ...
