Question I just received my LSI Motorsports Lid (HELP)......

it really is a sweet deal as you can get it with the IAT sensor and the rubber grommet already installed for 20 more bucks. The directions says to insert the additional filter into the hose and tighten hose clamp. What HOSE? and then it says to MOUNT the filter and hose using a small zip tie or mounting screw. MOUNT IT TO WHAT? PLease 2000-2002 f-body owners help me out here. Also which air filter would you use?

Thumbs up

The little hose that goes into the stock lid on the drivers side. Put that small filter in it. It goes to the electric air pump hid in the drivers front corner of the car. Only the '01-'02 have it there. Then I tie rapped it near the fuse box, just bend it down away from everything without kinking the hose. I used a hair drier to assist in getting the stock lid off at the clamped areas. Take your time and don't touch the screen in the throat going to the throttle body. Also I am just using a cheap paper Fram filter. Saved the stock stuff to put in if I go to the dealer for work. Later>>>>>>>>>>

dont worry about modding the maf..

as for the filter to buy, I suggest the Holley Powershot.. I saw it in the new Jegs catalog.. $49.99 or something like that..

it fits properly unlike the K&N which does not fit and needs an extra foam gasket.

Not just 01-02's... My 00 SS has it. There was not much that you can really tie it down to though. But your lid should have come with a small cylinderical filter that you put in the hose and find any place you can to tie it down.
