I have the slowest cammed LS1 in this country
Well I officially have the slowest cammed LS1 car in this country. I was consistent as hell, all of my runs were around a 13.75@ anywhere from 99-102mph. So after the cam I lost 2 tenths from my best and lost 1mph. I was fighting my Check Engine light all night for both random missfire and my TPS sensor is shot. I had a friend erase my codes twice with a Tech 2, the second time was right before we left and by the time I left the drag strip and pulled onto US41 to head home my light was back on again. Needless to say I am frustrated as hell. Needs a tune and some longtubes, but jesus it should have been faster than what it was!!!
***The track prep last night sucked, it was cool but the air was really thick and heavy, some people even complained about the fact that they thought the timing lights were off but I'm not sure about that***

The PCM uses the MAF, AIT and the TPS to set the fuel mixture ... throw in some misfires and you're pretty much in the crapper.
Also I don't see a TC in your sig. A stock TC is not going to be able to take advantage of cam and may even keep you out of the power band ...

The track prep was garbage as well...

I have run as poorly as 13.9 @ 110.6, and 14.1 @ 108.8 in my car. It was on street tires, and I was spinning into third gear. I ran a 13.25 @ 110.25 in 100* weather before, but they actually do prep work at that track, unlike Gateway.
Its usually hit or miss at US41, sometimes like on a Weds night when nobody is there they don't do anything and other night I have seen them spray down alot of VHT. You never can tell with them.
Just finished my cam install after I had to replace my valves. My car was running like *** cuz i had bent valves. So now with new valves and a new cam, my car still has a blinking SES light and I have no idea why...crappy thing is now I have to go pay $45 for a mechanic to hook up a real scanner and tell me which cylinders are misfiring and how bad. Hopefully its not as bad as before my valve change...he tested it and 5100 was my worst misfire.
With a big cam, the lope can cause a missfire code at idle. I had this after my TR230 cam. I got LS1 edit and followed some instructions I found on desentizing the misfire at idle and no more problems. The TPS will also cause alot of problems.
