HyperTech Questions
When you plug in your hypertech can you reset it to the factory setting before you take it in for service?? and also does anyone know if a SLP low temp module, an shift kit, or a hypertech 160 thermostat will void warranty???
Hypertech makes it obvious that you can and should reprogram back to stock before you take your car in for service. Look at a Hypertech manual and it says
You have the RIGHT to use high quality aftermarket parts and know that your new vehicle warranty claims will be honored. A warranty denial under such circumstances may be proper only if an aftermarket part caused the failure being claimed.
Kind of a grey area there, you can install a high quality shift kit but if it makes your tranny fail you're SOL.
