Re: hypertech programmer

I have the Hypertech for my car. I HAD the "power tuning" selected ON until I had my car dyno'd.....never realized how badly the motor would ping under heavy load (well, ok, I did hear it a little bit at the track, but just never realized quite how bad ). Anyway, using it for gear swap, shift point setting, and even shift firmness increase, it works great for me.

Just a note though, the '00 programmer won't work for any other year.....you'd need an '02 for an '02.

Re: hypertech programmer

the general consensus is that they are a waste of money other than using them for gear/tire changes and transmission alterations.

the predator programmer seems to be the new programmer to use.

They are a waste of money. You will outgrow its capabilites quickly. I would go ahead and either get LS1 Edit, HP Tuners or Diablo Predator.
