are hooker LT worth it if i have a borla or would i need to have true duals to see any sig. hp gains?

also how much hp gain would i see if i removed the cats?

 

it all in the year of your car and if it is a 6 speed i had a freind that put down 349hp and 366tq with hooker long tubes y pipe with no cats and borla excust it was 2002 SS 6 speed
and that was with a lid too

 

Removing the cats on stock manifolds will maybe get you a few horsepower. With longtubes you can expect around 20-25rwhp, 30 in a few freak cases.

 

I got 345/367 with my hooker LT's, ory, and loudmouth

 

I heard that doing LT's and a loudmouth makes it sound bad. That the Loudmouth only sounds good with the exhaust mainifolds. Not true?

 

Yeah it sounds like crap...the way to go with LM is stock manifolds. I'll be selling my LM soon and getting either GMMG or Magnaflow.

 

thats why i sold my loudmouth and got a borla....


flp headers with borla are the way to go i gained 23 rwhp from flp headers

 

I heard that the LM is really raspy with headers and OR Y-pipe. Im getting Mac's in about a month or so, so I'll find out for sure. I was thinking I'd keep the LM since its paid for, and looks good. I might just put two mufflers at the end of the pipes. Not sure what kind yet, but summit has some nice chrome straight throughs for lik70 bucks a piece. maybe stainless flowmasters...who knows. I know i should make this decision on a spent cost, but i think itll be cool with mufflers in line, and hopefulle itll sound nice too...
