How to remove EGR?
Its simple. One 10mm bolt on the top of the intake, two 10mm bolts on the passenger side header, and 2 15mm bolts on the passenger side cylinder head. Unhook the electrical harness and throw away.
If you are keeping your stock intake, you'll need to plug the hole at the top of the intake with a freeze plug. Not sure which size. Or you could upgrade to an LS6 intake without EGR provision. You will also need an EGR blockoff plate for your passenger side header.
